HIIT Fitness - Summer

HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) uses quick, powerful bursts of exercise with short rest periods to boost your heart rate and burn more calories in less time.  This class follows a 50-second work / 10-second rest format with four intervals repeated five times.  Please have hand weights, a mat, and a chair.  Instructor: Janet Jonson

HIIT, or high-intensity interval training, is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time. For this class, we will be using a 50 second intense period followed by 10 second rest period. The class is a 4 X 5, meaning four different intervals repeated five times. You will need a set of hand weights, a mat, and a chair (sometimes).
