Learn Tap Dance - Beginner/Intermediate

This 8-week class will provide an opportunity to discover the joy of the tap dancer within you. In addition to understanding time and rhythm, you will develop an understanding of tap vocabulary such as flaps, shuffles, cramp rolls and ball change. This class will enable you to successfully execute these and other fundamental tap dance skills. If you have knowledge of tap, you can also benefit. You will be introduced to additional concepts, use of space and choreography. You will develop speed, clarity and understanding of time and tempo. Tap shoes or tap plates are required. Instructor Shelly Vaughan has taught dance (tap and jazz) for 25+ years at the Kennedy Dance Center in Bellefonte and would love to share her skills with you.
