"Deck the House" Holiday Lighting Contest

Do you love decorating for the holidays? Get out your reindeer figurines and snow globes for the return of the Deck the House Holiday Lighting Contest! The entry fee is $5R/$8NR per home, and this event benefits Centre Region Parks and Recreation. Cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st-3rd winners in categories. During registration, you will be required to choose the category in which you want your house to be judged.
The three categories are:
(1) Most Traditional Display (best use of traditional decor with a classic holiday theme)
(2) Most Creative Theme
(3) Best Light Show
(4) Community Choice - Photos of all participating light displays will be uploaded to Facebook, and the public will vote for a winner.
Register your home by Friday, December 11, to be included in the December 15 and 16 judging!

Note:

Participation Rules: You must reside in State College Borough or the Townships of College, Ferguson, Halfmoon, Harris, or Patton, to be eligible. Those residing in Halfmoon will need to call the Recreation Office at 814-231-3071 to register. Lights/decor must be visible from the nearest street. Make sure your lights are turned on for the event. We will send a friendly reminder before judging.

Judging: December 15 & 16, between 5-9 PM each night.
